|Truffle wonders if Mom Paula is watching her now|

The Petcube Play is a redesigned and more compact camera (3' x 3" x 3") that has 2-way audio where you can talk to and hear your pets. You can set up your smart phone to notify you when the is a sound or motion at home so you can watch what is happening. The video streams in 1080p HD video with 138 degree wide angle view. Not only can your human watch and interact with you with the Petcube Play, she can take still photos and videos. Mom Paula saves a photo and the video to her smartphone and transfers it to her computer when she gets home. Petcube offers video cloud recording service with Petcube Care for 10 or 30 days of history. A free 30-day Petcube Care trial is included with every Petcube device purchase and starts when you activate your device.

One of the unique features we like about this camera is the built-in laser toy. Your human can turn on the laser toy when watching you her smartphone and move it around so there can be interactive play. We love this feature. The only problem Mom Paula has is that she has a smaller smartphone, so she can't really see the dot through the phone. We can definitely see it and the dot is clear when watching the video.
This past weekend, Truffle became ill and had to be rushed to the vet. Mom Paula had several errands to run and Grandpa Paul was rushed back to the hospital, so Mom Paula couldn't be home to monitor Truffle. It was so comforting for Mom Paula to turn on her Petcube app on her smartphone and see Truffle resting on the blanket in the warm sunbeam. Mom Paula was able to talk to Truffle and Truffle looked at her. This "peace of mind" was all Mom Paula needed to verify the importance of the Petcube Play pet camera. Petcube talks about leaving your pets at home when humans must be away.
Mom Paula also likes to talk to us a lot and the Petcube Play allows her to communicate with us when she's away from home. She loves to turn on the Petcube app and turn on the sound and call our names and see us walking into the room. Truffle and Brulee haven't quite figured out where the voice is coming from yet, but they do respond to Mom Paula's voice.
Mom Paula was curious what we do when she drives into the driveway after being gone all day, so she turned on the Petcube app on her smart phone and was happy to see Truffle and Brulee waiting in front of the door for her.
We do recommend you find a high location to place the camera so your cats won't be tempted to jump in front of it and look into the laser like Truffle did. Our house it pretty dark, so most of our videos are dark unless Mom Paula remembers to open the blinds and uses the camera during the late afternoon. The camera was easy to set up - just take out of the box, plug it in, download the app, and connect to your wifi. There is a lot more you can do with the Petcube Play such as Facebook live, share videos, and visit other homes. We've kept ours on private for now.

The Petcube Play is available for $199 and you can purchase it from the Petcube website. We're very tempted to purchase additional cameras so Mom Paula can monitor us in other parts of the house.
