Truffle recently started climbing under the quilt to sleep at Mom Paula's feet. She doesn't stay there all night, but she's there long enough for Brulee to think there is a new bed monster under the quilt.
The video below is showing Truffle moving around under the quilt. Usually Brulee attacks Truffle when she's under the covers, but this time, she just sat and watched Truffle making a fool of herself.
Today is the opening of college football and our South Carolina Gamecocks have the honor of being the first team to play on TV this season. This game is an exciting game because it's being promoted as the battle of the Carolinas because South Carolina is playing North Carolina. The game is on ESPN at 6:00 pm EST. Of course, Mom Paula will be there making a fool of herself! MOL!
What's so interesting is that Mom Paula is traveling back today from Durham, NC where she's been in a meeting the past two days. UNC is only a few miles from Durham, so Mom Paula has been around that North Carolina blue the past two days. We know she's glad to be back around the garnet and black! Go Gamecocks! We also want to wish a very happy birthday to Mom Paula's nephews, Russell and William. Yes, they are 5 years apart, but were born on the same day. Both of them love kitties and are currently owned by them. Happy Birthday William and Russell!
Cute little Brulee is two years old today! We remember when she was born only 4 days after Angel Beignet went to the bridge and how excited we were that Truffle was going to have a sister. The picture below was when Brulee was only 5 days old. Isn't it so interesting how the silver shaded Persians start out a little tabby kitties!
Brulee has grown into a beautiful ladycat and we hope she stays with us a long time. Happy Birthday Brulee!
It's been another one of those weeks where we haven't received much attention from Mom Paula because she's been working on a project for work. As a result, she's way behind on doing the laundry, so today is wash day. Brulee loves wash day because she can snuggle up inside the clothes and re-floof them.
Two years ago today, we lost our little brother, Beignet to a VAS (Vaccine Associated Sarcoma) at 11 weeks of age. Beignet was Truffle's only littermate and both were scheduled to come live with Mom Paula the following week. He is Brulee's half brother (they have the same daddycat). Beignet was such a handsome little mancat, but God wanted him at the bridge and we're sure he's keeping Sweet Praline entertained and sleeping on her head (as Chey and Ichiro said two years ago - that's what mancats do!) The video below was on Mom Paula's second visit to see them. Truffle is on the left being calm and Beignet is on the right playing with Mom Paula's fingers and giving her hand the bunny kick.
This is one of the first set glamour shots Mom Terri sent Mom Paula of Truffle and Beignet together. It's one of our favorites because of the way Beignet had his little head underneath Truffle's chin as if to say, "I love you big sister!" RIP little brother.
Mom Paula could never tell if we were actually drinking from our Thirsty Cat Fountain, so she set it up on the table in front of the window! We love it there and drink from it all the time. We're thankful for our Thirsty Cat Water Fountain and our other fountains in the house and that Mom Paula makes sure they are clean and full of water.
Truffle and Brulee drinking from their fountain
Pee ess - Many of you are asking about our fancy fountain. We have a picture and link our our sidebar to Thirsty Cat Fountains. Not only are these fountains great to drink from, they are also beautiful!
Here is our "old" scratching post that belonged to Angel Sweet Praline.
Here's our swanky new scratching post Mom Paula bought us yesterday. It's so cool! It has a wooden ball that goes round and round in the bottom, a feather on top, and it's never been scratched on before!
Time to get your "squeeeee" on! Today we're featuring Baby Brulee at 7 weeks of age. When Mom Paula first selected Brulee to come live with us, she was this quiet, shy little kitten. Mom Paula thought she'd be the purrfect companion for Truffle because Truffle was so outgoing and independent. Within a week after Mom Paula selected Brulee, the energy erupted!
Brulee - 7 weeks old (October 2011)
The video below is Mom Paula playing with Brulee on one of her visits down to Mt. Pleasant to see her. Just look at the bundle of energy.
Pee ess - we're sorry we haven't been able to visit much the past week. Mom Paula is working too hard (what else is new?) and we're trying to complete the 2014 Cats of the CB Calendar. We hope to be back visiting soon.
We were offered another opportunity to review some treats from Chewy.com. We were excited to receive a bag of Wellness Pure Delights Chicken and Lamb Jerky because we already eat the Wellness canned food. The Wellness Pure Delights come in two flavors: Chicken & Lamb Jerky and Turkey & Salmon Jerky. We're glad we were sent the chicken & lamb flavors because we don't get any fish food or treats because Truffle's tummy can't handle it.
Truffle was the first to check it out.
The Wellness Pure Delights treats are grain-free and that's great for us kitties. We love our treats and Mom Paula loves to give them to us, so she wants to make sure they're healthy and low calorie so we can keep our beautiful ladycat figures. The Wellness Pure Delights treats are low calorie and completely free from grains.
Brulee's cute little red nose had to check out the treats, too.
These treats are soft and chewy. Everyone knows Truffle loves treats of any kind and has no problem eating them. Mom Paula has to find special treats for Brulee because she has problems eating some of the treats because of her flat face and little mouth. Brulee had no problems with these treats and both Truffle and Brulee would eat them right out of Mom Paula's hand.
Truffle enjoying the treats from Mom Paula's hand
Truffle couldn't get enough of these treats. Even after eating them from Mom Paula's hand, she then stood up and begged for them. Truffle has no shame when it comes to treats.
We really enjoyed these treats and give them "four paws up." We were sent these treats free from Chewy.com and did not receive any compensation for this review.

When Mom Paula was taking pictures of us last week, she got the bright idea to crawl under the glass table to get a picture of Brulee's floofy belly. Aren't her silver toesies the cutest thing? However, you can tell from Brulee's expression that she wasn't amused. MOL!
We were blue last week while Mom Paula was out of town, but now she's home! Mom Paula is now blue because when she came home, she had no TV, no telephone, and no Internet and the company can't come until later this afternoon to try and fix it. If it wasn't for her work hotspot, we'd be without anything.
On the bright side of "blue." Our guest bedroom theme is blue and white. We thought this was a cool picture show the blue on the dresser and the reflection of Brulee on the blue and while quilt.
Mom Paula comes home today!!! Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee managed to slip into the meetings with her yesterday. They said they learned a lot about higher education, but they'd rather hear conversations about the cats when she meets other cat bloggers.
Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee slip into the meetings!
We recently won a gift card from Cathy Keisha for Nip and Bones. We'd been seeing everyone play with the Neko Fly, especially on My Cat from Hell with Jackson Galaxy, so that's what we ordered. We did a survey on FB to see which bug everyone liked best and the Kragonfly was the winner. We love the Neko Fly. We wish we could have two of them so both of us could jump and play!
Can we say one more time - Mom Paula comes home today!!!
Today is World Cat Day. We're happy there is a day set aside for us kitties, but we believe everyday is Cat Day! We're thankful for all of our furriends in the blogging world and their humans.
Here's another photo from our photo shoot last week. Mom Paula likes this photo because of the look Truffle is giving Brulee. The photo almost looks "photoshopped" because of how Brulee appears to be in front of Truffle, but this is the actual photo.
We're also thankful because Mom Paula will be home tomorrow night!
Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee met a new furriend yesterday. Julie McAlee from Sometimes, Cats Herd You brought Flat Ashton over to meet us. We've just recently started following Ashton and his siblings, so imagine our surprise with Mom Julie reached out to Mom Paula to meet her while she's in Orlando. The Flats had a great time playing with Shamu while Mom Paula and Mom Julie chatted away the hours.
Flat Brulee, Flat Ashton, Flat Truffle, and Mom Julie
Meanwhile, we're stuck at home waiting for Mom Paula to return. Wonder what kind of trouble we can get into . . .
Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee had an exciting visitor in their hotel room last night - Shamu! They aren't literally "swimming" with Shamu, but they sure had a great time playing in the bathtub!
Mom Paula had dinner with Morgen and Eyad from Purrchance to Dream and The Cat Blogosphere last night. Of course, Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee insisted on joining them and were the talk of the restaurant.
We started out easily enough this morning, but then we saw the red box with the wheels on it begin to move. Even worse, she put that red bag on the bed.
We're sleeping in like any other Sunday and planning to take it easy.
Truffle quickly realizes something is wrong and jumps on top of the red box with wheels
to keep it from going any where.
But it was top late, Mom Paula picked it up and put it on the bed. That's not usually a good sign. Brulee jumped inside and tried her best to keep the suitcase full so no clothes could be put inside. That didn't work either. Mom Paula said she had to get packed to leave for Orlando for a conference and that Grandma Faye was going to check on us every day until FRIDAY!!! She did say something about meeting up with some cat bloggers and some flat kitties. We'll see . . . Bye Mom! Please hurry home!
